How to Start a WordPress Blog in 10 Minutes? Step-by-Step Tutorial to Create Blog on WordPress
Starting a blog is
easy if you follow the steps I will show you in this Article. Hello digital
readers, welcome to the channel If you are new here, I am KS of
uttargujarateducationclub.online and to be honest with you, starting a blog is
the best thing that has ever happened in my life. After playing around with the
free blogs and other platforms I will be writing, I started my first
professional blog as a teenager back in 2013, and since then, I have been able
to take my blogging journey to unexpected places and achieve many of my life
goals. But it all started with a blog.
I also want to
change your life in the same way, which is why I want you to stay tuned to the
end of this video because in today’s video I will go through the step-by-step
process of building your professional blog even if you don’t have the technical
skills. All right, now without further ado, let's get started. To start your
professional blog, you will need 3 items: Domain Name, Hosting Server, and
Content Management program. A domain name is the address of your blog such as
DigitalCreatorAcademy.com, which is the domain name for my website. While a
hosting server is like renting an online space where you store and host your
website or blog files. However, a Content Management System or CMS is the place
where you manage your website. CMS allows you to view and manage the background
of your website so that you can determine what the front end of your website
looks like.
I have discussed
all of this in more detail on my blog, check out the video description below
with a link to that blog post. All right! Now let’s get started quickly to
create your Word Press blog. The first step in blogging is choosing the right
web hosting service. And this is a very important step. When it comes to web
hosting providers, there are a lot of cheap and cost-effective web hosting
companies available in the market and honesty, I have tried most of them. But
one of my favorite beginners is Bluehost. It is because of the affordable price
and convenience you offer as well as live chat support 24/7.
You can spend a few weeks or full months
researching various web hosting services, or you can bet on my recommendation
and get started right there with Blue host. The choice is yours! All right!
Now, as you watch, that means you don't want to waste your time. Instead, you
want to start blogging in the next few minutes. So, let’s jump into my computer
and show you the step-by-step instructions. First, open your web browser and
type in thisarndigitalwithrahul.com/hosting in the URL field. Then hit Enter.
Before we continue, a quick complaint: this is my interaction link, and if you decide
to purchase, I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. In
fact, because you are using my affiliatelink, I will also give you some
bonuses. See the video description below for details on how to get additional
bonuses from me. OK, if you are on this page, click the start button now. Also,
on the next screen, you will be notified that you have selected your hosting
plan. Bluehost offers 3 types of shared hosting plans - Basic, Extras, and
Choice Plus. If you only need one blog, choose a basic plan, however, if you
need to host more than one blog, you can choose other programs depending on
your needs and your budget. I can choose a basic program because I only need to
host one domain, and if I need more, I can always upgrade over time. Once you
have selected the program, in the next screeny you will find these options.
Here, you need to choose your domain name.
If you are
starting from scratch and do not yet have a registered domain, you can type
your desired domain name here, and select the desired domain extension such as
.com, .org, .net, etc. Alternatively, you also get a touse to choose your
existing domain name. For example, if you have already registered your domain
name from other locations, you can enter it here and click on the following.
You also get the option to skip all of this right now so you can hold a hosting
account quickly and determine your domain later. But since they offer a free 1
year domain with a hosting plan, so I
want to register a new domain. So, I'll select this option and click Next to
see if my desired domain name is available. So, as you can see, my desired
domain name – help me create my blog.com is available, and ready to register.
Here you can use your Google Account to sign in, or you can also enter your basic
information such as first name, last name, country, address, email address,
etc.
Once you have entered all of your account
details, scroll down, see package details. Here you can check and verify if you
have selected the right hosting plan. If not, you can change it here. In the
case of a hosting plan, I would highly recommend you choose the maximum time so
you will be able to save a higher amount of money. For example, if you choose
12 months, the total amount you will pay is lower, but per month, you end up
paying higher. So instead, choose 36 months as that way the price of the
monthly catch will be much lower. And when you're done with this, scroll down,
and you'll see extra packages. Here you can choose the extras you need for your
Word Press blog or website. I don't need all these extra functional things, so
I'll check the box next to the other one. As I stop marking the box next to one
of these, you can see that the total amount of money I will be paying is
greatly reduced. And if I am happy with the full amount, I will skip down to
where I will need to enter my payment details. You can enter your debit or
credit card details here. If you want to pay with PayPal, you can do that too.
Just click on this Payment Option and this will give you the payment option
using PayPal. Now, I will forward this as I enter my payment details. When you
are done with all of this, scroll down and click this check box to agree to the
terms and conditions. Finally, click Submit and your hosting account will be
created. All right! Once the transaction is done, you will see a success
message like this.
Just click this
Create your account button and this will take you to a new page where you need
to create a password and type a password. I can use this suggested password and
click on the checkbox, I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of
Service. Finally, click Create Account and now your participating account is
ready. You can now sign in to this account with the new password you just
created. And once you log in, you will see an unwelcome journey with basic
questions like these. I can skip all these steps and fast forward to save your
time. It will also encourage you to choose a theme for your new Word Press
blog. You can choose any of the free or premium themes available here. But
since I don't want to spend money on a
premium theme right away, so I can choose a free theme here. Let's choose this
one and use this team. And as you can see, the installation is still on going.
So wait a few seconds, and it will be ready. All right! Now, the installation
is complete, and it is installed on our hosting account dashboard. From the
left-hand menu items, go to My Sites, and this will take you to a new page
where you can manage your sites. Now, click the Manage Site button, and you'll
see an overview of your site. Here you find various options for managing
marketing, users, backups, performance, security, plugins etc. But our real
concern is this: this option. Click on that and change the site URL. Now, I'm
going to type my domain name here and check the box, update my home URL to
match the URL of the site.
This is very
important because this will update the domain name from the temporary URL to
the permanent brand able domain URL we just purchased. And when you're done, click
the Save Updates button to save the changes made. When you see this message of
success, you're done, and we're ready to move on to the WordPress site of our
blog administrator. So, click this Login to WordPress and this will take you to
your WordPress dashboard. And when you're on the WordPress dashboard, you can
navigate with this + New button, and you'll find a variety of options to choose
whether you want to create a post, media, page, or user account. If you want to
create a blog post, you will select this Post option, or you can do the other
way by scrolling and clicking on this link, Write Your First Blog. And if you
click that, it will take you to the WordPress blocking editor with the welcome
guide. It describes itself well, and you can learn the basic functionality of a
WordPress editor with this welcome guide. Finally, click Get Started, and now,
you can write your blog post here, and start writing content below. And when
you're done writing, you can click this Publish button to publish your blog
posts. So that's how you can build your Professional WordPress blog and design
it. If you want to learn how to write your first article, read this article. And
