I get it, it's human nature. Personally I started with Bloggspot powered by Google. But over time, when I realized that my free blogs have a lot of powerful functionality, I had to switch to WordPress for myself.

          There’s nothing wrong with making a switchfrom free into a professional WordPress blog, but if you do, you end up losing the juice of your backback you gained over time by working hard on your free blog. Of course if you know the technical features of SEO, you can save that link juice. But also, remember that you need to restart from scratch and invest time in learning the functionality of the new blogging platform.
